Floss, the black fluffy puppy, who was lost and rescued in 2017, is BACK! His true story (in real life, he was Pita, the mongrel of Magura).
So many kids loved Floss’s story (Floss the lost puppy) that they demanded a sequel. So on Saturday 17th November, his new book is launched in Romexpo, Bucharest’s exhibition centre.
Floss & the Circus puts the little dog in the centre of the ring, right in the spotlight with the audience agog… Will he survive his dangerous stunt? Will he find the runaway horse? Will he save the thief’s life? It’s a wild holiday for Floss, Thea and Robbie when they meet the strangest circus on earth. They discover that however odd and different people look on the outside, they are just the same as everyone else on the inside: kind and brave and amazing.
I’m still in a sleeveless linen shirt, on 2nd October. Apart from a blessed few days of rain, which brought cold air with it, summer has been unstoppable.
Last year I was still in summer clothes on 10th October, having lunch outside and loving the warm autumn. The following night, the temperature plummeted 30C down to zero, and we had a heavy snow fall. Bad news for the fruit trees – the apples were still unpicked, and the weight of the snow on the leafy branches was too much for my visini tree.
The snow only lasted for a couple of days, but it was a shocking switch from summer to winter. The snow proper didn’t arrive till 6th December, but that was it – we didn’t see grass again till April. The hardest winter for 40 years…
Will this year follow the same pattern? I’m making the most of the sun while it’s here!
A new experience for young cats – no-one expected snow so early
